Certificate is a one page document which looks like a letter and bears the seal of the state of Vermont
Secretary of State or another Vermont state agency if the Vermont Secretary of State is not the issuing authority.
A Vermont Good Standing Certificate is provided by the Vermont Secretary of State and is conclusive evidence of the
existence of your Vermont business franchise - your Vermont Corporation or Vermont LLC.
In most cases a Vermont Certificate of Good Standing can be valid up to
three months.

then you are a Sole Proprietor by default.

issued by the Vermont Secretary of State for business entities that have registered with the state of Vermont.
A Sole Proprietorship or DBA is not normally registered with the Vermont Secretary of State so a
