three months.

If you own a New Jersey business and have not formed a Corporation, LLC, Partnership or other legal entity in the state of New Jersey,
then you are a Sole Proprietor by default.
Nothing needs to be filed with the New Jersey Department of Treasury to create a Sole Proprietorship.
