What is an Easement

An Easement on Property is an interest in the Property of another owner.  An Easement gives someone else other than the owner of the Property limited use of the Property.  An Easement is an Encumbrance on Property.  Easements are commonly used for rights of way and access to Property by utility companies.  An Easement does not grant any ownership interest of Property.
