WHAT IS A CERTIFIED COPY

  • We can order plain or Certified Copies of any Corporate Document that has been filed with the Secretary of State, or another state agency, anywhere in the US.
  • In addition, when you form a new company with us, you will automatically get a free Certified Copy of your Articles of Incorporation as part of your Formation Documents.
A Certified Copy is a copy of a primary document which includes an endorsement or certificate that states it is a true copy of the primary document. A Certified Copy is normally a photocopy.

A Certified Copy bears the signature of a representative of the issuing agency. In the case of Corporate Documents this is usually the Secretary of State.

When the Secretary of State issues a Certified Copy of a Corporate Document, this means that the Certified Copy is a true, accurate and valid copy of the Corporate Document that the Secretary of State has on file.
